Rogers County deputies located the owner of a German Shepherd they found that was wearing a service animal vest.
The dog was found Tuesday afternoon at a cemetery at E/W 320 and N/S 4200 Roads between Talala and Chelsea, according to the department's Facebook page. There was no sign of an owner.
Deputy Robert Norman and Major Coy Jenkins called the dog "Nacho" after gaining his trust with Nacho Bugle chips. They took him to a veterinarian who checked for a microchip. The chip led them to the dog's owner in Wichita.
The office says the chip indicates the dog is named Jackson. His happy owner drove down to pick him up.
