Police say no one was injured when someone fired multiple gunshots Tuesday morning into a Tulsa home and a parked minivan.
Neighbors called police after hearing the gunshots at around 7 a.m. in the 1800 block of North Louisville. Police say those neighbors then ran outside and saw a tan Ford Explorer driving away.
Police say multiple bullets struck the vacant home and at least one bullet shattered the window of Erma Lewis' Dodge Caravan parked in her driveway.
Lewis said her 12- and 16-year-old sons were getting ready for school and she said her 12-year-old had just left the minivan and gone into the house when five shots rang out.
"My 12-year-old's final words this morning was, 'I love you, mom. Have a wonderful day.' And I said, 'I love you too.' He said, 'Momma,' and I said, 'What baby,' and he said, 'I'm grateful to be alive. It's gonna be a good day.' And I said, 'You're absolutely right,'" Lewis said.
Police say the people who had been living in the home, moved out about a week ago and were the likely targets.
