Owasso Softball Team Holds Military Appreciation Night

A Green Country softball team is honoring our nation’s veterans.

Monday was Military Appreciation Night for the Owasso Lady Rams.

More than 300 members of the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade choirs performed the national anthem and players each presented a veteran with a small gift before the game.

“It feels real good to give back to them and to really make them feel loved,” said Assistant Softball Coach Milton Denny.  “It really means a lot to them, I think.”

Players also wore special uniforms honoring veterans.  All veterans also got to watch the game for free.
