Deputies tased a man Thursday after they say he punched a deputy and grabbed his gun.
They were taking the man to jail after Verdigris police said they found guns and drugs at the man's house.
Verdigris Police said they found a lot of guns, ammunition, and 444 grams of powdered cocaine in a house just across the street from an elementary school.
Police said the arrest all came about because of a tip they received. Police said they went to the house Thursday and arrested James Hill, who is already a convicted felon.
A Rogers County deputy was taking Hill to jail when he said Hill started acting up, so the deputy pulled over and that's when the two got into a fight.
The deputy said Hill threatened to kill the deputy and got both his hands on the deputies gun before he was tased and subdued.
"It certainly is an indicator of just how dangerous these guys and gals jobs are every day," said Sheriff Scott Walton.
"You never know going into a search warrant what you're gonna find," said Jack Shackelford with Verdigris police.
