A taste of fall has arrived for Green Country as cloud cover will really hold our temperatures down for our Saturday!
Of course, it is a huge day in Tulsa with the grand opening of Gathering Place! Expect things to be a bit damp for the first half of the day as areas of drizzle and a few scattered showers continue to linger across eastern Oklahoma. We’ll trend gradually drier for the afternoon, though clouds will hang tough throughout the day.
Yes it’ll be a bit dreary, but our temperatures today really can’t be beat for a September day! With those cloudy skies in place, we’ll only reach the mid-70s for our afternoon highs with a steady north breeze.
Clouds will start to thin out tonight, and a surge of drier air will allow our morning lows to take a nice dip into Sunday morning. Expect some upper 50s north of Tulsa early Sunday, with lower 60s elsewhere.
As for the daytime hours Sunday, I’ll just say this: Make some plans to get outside! We’ll finally pick up some sunshine on Sunday, with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 70s. Tack on a northeast breeze and much lower humidity, and it will be a picture-perfect day to get outside!
We’re set up for a nice stretch of drier and extremely pleasant conditions as we head into next week. Morning lows will likely dip back into the 50s in some spots both Monday and Tuesday mornings, with highs in the lower 80s both afternoons and tons of sunshine along with low humidity. Talk about six-star weather! We’ll slowly warm up by mid to late next week, but it looks like we’re in for several days of great weather to get outside before a slight chance of storms returns by the end of next week.
