Claremore Police are investigating possible child neglect after accompanying the Department of Human Services on a home visit. The investigation began August 31 when CPD officers were called to assist DHS on a report of previous drug use at the home.
Police said there were three young children at the residence including an infant. Officers described the house using the words deplorable and despicable. They said there was vomit on floor, cockroaches and bedbugs.
Officers arrested Jocalene Haskins on an outstanding Tulsa County warrant. Records show she pleaded guilty to two counts of unauthorized use of a vehicle. She received a suspended sentence, but that sentence was revoked when she tested positive for methamphetamine use, police say.
DHS relocated the kids, and police opened a child neglect investigation. Haskins was booked into the Tulsa County Jail Tuesday, September 4 and released on bond the next day.
