Coweta Police arrested a man accused of kidnapping on Wednesday.
According to police, around 4:45 p.m. officers were called to a Coweta Walgreens, in response to a possible kidnapping which had been reported to a store employee. The caller also claimed that the victim and suspect were still in the store.
As police were arriving the suspect, Lonnie Replogle, ran out of the store and got into his truck. Police say the suspect then rammed two different police cars in an unsuccessful attempt to escape. A third police car maneuvered in and blocked the driver’s door which prevented Replogle from running on foot.
According to police reports, the alleged victim claimed Replogle kidnapped her and has held her against her will for the past month.
Coweta Police arrested Replogle on complaints of kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon against a police officer, and domestic assault and battery, but say additional complaints are likely.
Three Coweta police cars were damaged in the incident, and initial estimates put the damage cost at several thousand dollars.
