Tulsa Water Main Break Closes Section Of Pine Street

<p>A section of Pine Street east of Harvard is closed to traffic this morning as crews work to repair a broken water main.</p>

Tulsa Water Main Break Closes Section Of Pine Street

City crews are diverting traffic on Pine east of Harvard as they continue to try and fix a broken water line.

The crew is finishing repairs on the water line, but they left a large hole going across the street and into a yard.

Workers said they first believed it was a two-inch break and only shut down the eastbound lanes of Pine between Knoxville and Louisville. They later realized it was a six-inch break and they needed to make additional repairs.

The City said no homes or businesses are being impacted by the break, it's more of a traffic nightmare than anything.

Neighborhood streets had to deal with more vehicles as drivers took detours to get around the work.

Crew members said the street will be closed through the weekend and there's no clear timetable on when it'll reopen.
