Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe faces some criticism over a statement he made about the late Senator John McCain and the White House's decision to leave the flag at half-staff for only two days after McCain's death.
"Frankly, I think that John McCain was partially to blame for that because he was very outspoken. He disagreed with the President in certain areas and wasn't too courteous about it," said Jim Inhofe.
The White House lowered the flag again Monday afternoon after first raising it in the morning following bipartisan criticism.
Inhofe did go on in that interview to praise McCain's heroism.
Senator Jim Inhofe is seen as the front runner to take Senator McCain's place as chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
