Tulsa Police are looking for a man who stole an equipment trailer in broad daylight. The victim said at first she thought her husband triggered their security system.
Security video shows the man pull into a driveway near 81st and Memorial in the middle of the day. He hooked up the trailer and took off.
"She thought it was her husband at first. It was in the middle of the day, so she thought it was her husband that just returned from an errand. When she got a second notification on her phone that’s when she decided to look at it," said Corporal J. W. Sherrill.
She looked again and saw their trailer, filled with their business equipment, being pulled away.
Police said the car the man used is a newer model gold Kia SUV.
The victim posted about it on Facebook and another person said they saw the same guy stealing items from them near 31st and Sheridan.
"These guys are really pretty ruthless. They will steal from a business first. They'll take from a person or individual too, but they'll steal from a business in a second," Sherrill said.
Even though police said they know who this person is, they said this kind of thing happens at least once a day and people need to be prepared.
"Always have all of the serial numbers of anything that is mobile. So, for instance, if you have tools make sure you have all the serial numbers tools. Make and model on those also. I realize it is a tremendous amount of trouble in the front end but it'll help you get your stuff returned to you in the back end," Sherrill said.
If you recognize this person or know anything that can help police you are asked to call CrimeStoppers.
