The Broken Arrow Police Department is mourning the loss of one of their K-9 officers.

According to a news release, Havoc, a 6-year-old German Shepard, was put to sleep.

BAPD said on Tuesday, Havoc's handler Officer Eric Keech noticed his partner couldn't walk and took him to the hospital. They learned Havoc suffered from a severe condition caused by a cancerous growth.

Keech made the decision to have Havoc euthanized.

Havoc joined the Broken Arrow Police Department in March 2014.
