Police arrest two men Thursday evening following an armed robbery at a Tulsa motel the day before.
Wednesday, officers were called to a motel in the 8200 block of East Skelly Drive about a burglary. After talking with the victim, police learned it was actually an armed robbery and the victim had delayed calling police for three hours.
On Thursday, police arrested 33-year-old Brandon Oden and 39-year-old Robert Phillips.
Officers investigating the robbery spotted one of the men, who they recognized from an encounter at a convenience store on Wednesday, minutes after the robbery.
After a foot chase, police arrested him at a Motel 6 just down the street from the first motel.
The victim, who was working in Tulsa, told police that two robbers stole $3,000 in savings as well as other items. Police say some of those items, including a 500 Peso bill were recovered in the suspect's motel room. Officers also found a gun believed used in the robbery.
After questioning, both Brandon Oden and Robert Phillips were booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints including robbery with a firearm and burglary.
