A man is in the hospital after the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Kellyville Police said his vehicle was hit by a train.

OHP said the driver was not paying attention while he tried to cross the tracks on West 141st Street.

Kellyville Police said the man is expected to be okay and is in the hospital with minor head injuries.

Troopers said the train was traveling east when the driver crossed the tracks going north. That's when law enforcement said the train bumped into the back of the car on the driver's side, causing it to spin out.

Troopers said the train was moving pretty slowly, about 20 miles an hour.

"The train was just creeping, really. As you know, they can't stop immediately, so, blaring his horn, but due to the radio and just inattention, just not paying attention is what caused this accident today," Trooper Darrick Eades said.

OHP said Kellyville Police will likely ticket the driver.
