Tulsa Man Drowns At Lake Oologah

<p>Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Rogers County Officials are&nbsp;investigating a possible drowning at Oologah Lake.</p>

Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating a drowning at Lake Oologah.

According to OHP, the incident happened near Hawthorn Bluff just before 5 p.m.

Troopers report that several friends were swimming when 19-year-old Yerson Garcia De Luna went under and never resurfaced. Troopers say the man was attempting help one of his friends who was also struggling.

Heather Hartley says she was with her kids when she was told by search crews to clear the area. She says she saw crews pull the man’s body from the lake. 

“It took them about an hour and a half of going back and forth with several boats and kind of dragging in that area to actually find him, and they did,” said Hartley.

The first man did make it out, the victim’s name has not yet been released.
