Bear Sightings In The Fort Gibson Area

Police issued an alert after getting calls from several residents who spotted a bear spotted in their community.

The Fort Gibson Police Department posted a photo of the bear on its Facebook page, urging residents not to approach the animal.

Police say they've notified Game Wardens about the bear.

The department says residents should keep their distance from the bear and if it gets to close for comfort give Ft. Gibson Police a call at 918-478-3551.
