The OSU women sit in 10th place after one round of NCAA regional play in San Francisco and the OU women are tied for 12th in Austin.
Both teams trying to qualify for the NCAA championships at Karsten Creek, which will host the women and the men.
We asked OSU men's coach Alan Bratton about the Cowboys' regional road to get back home.
"As the rankings kind of shook out, we'd been talking. Our expectation was to go to Ohio State, so we've already kind of gotten our kids ready for that. They were ready for that before the selection show, and it turns out, that's where we're going,” said Bratton. “It's a great venue, and again, when you get there it's always good to hear those positive stories of guys in the past, whether it's Brian Watts, or Michael Bradley, or EJ, or Chris Tidland, or myself. There will be spots that will bring back good memories for me so, hopefully, that's just comforting and relaxing and motivation for our guys to keep their eye at the top of the leaderboard. That's where we want to be, we want to build momentum every single day and come into the championship coming off a regional win."
If the Cowboys make it through regional play, they return to Stillwater for the championship held at Karsten Creek.
Bratton says, "Again, our expectation here, you know, is no different no matter where we are. So being at home, that's just a comfort. There's nowhere on the golf course they can hit it that they haven't been before."
