A Tulsa family is safe after a fire damaged their home Sunday morning.
A mother, daughter, and grandmother were inside the home near I-44 and Riverside when the fire broke out.
"I woke up and there was a fire in my living room and it was around our gas heater and my mom was trying to put it out. It was pretty small then she went to go get water and it just started growing so we got out of the house and I called 911,” said fire victim Katie Bennett.
News On 6 was told the grandmother has Alzheimer's and a neighbor sprang into action to help get her out of the house.
The home suffered extensive damage.
