Oklahoma Sea Turtle Settling Into New Texas Home

An Oklahoma sea turtle is getting settled in her new Dallas home.

Sea Life Aquarium in Grapevine, Texas came to pick up Thalassia Thursday.

She was struck by a boat 10 years ago in Florida and needed a safe place to live until she got bigger. Now, she's healthy, strong and ready for her new home.

"It's a home just built right for her, so she'll be happy, she'll thrive in there. She'll have another turtle buddy. She will have all the luxuries that a sea turtle can have,” said Krista Huebner with Sea Life Aquarium.

Thalassia will share her new home with two others.
