SUV Crashes Into Claremore Kum & Go

Police say Sunday afternoon a woman crashed an SUV into a Claremore Kum & Go convenience store.

Officers believe the driver thought she had her foot on the brake but stepped on the gas pedal, sending the SUV into the store.

The store is located in the 1300 block of West Will Rogers Boulevard.

Police say two customers and two employees were in the store at the time of the 2 p.m. accident. 

One customer was reportedly pinned between the SUV and the counter but was freed before first responders arrived. 

She was later taken to the hospital for a leg injury, police said.

The SUV's driver and a passenger were not injured.
