The family of a missing Muskogee woman held a vigil Sunday as they still search for answers.
Jamie McChurin went missing 21 years ago.
Even after all this time, the family of Jamie McChurin still has no idea what happened to her.
"It's really hard because someone out there knows where she is they know exactly what happened to her," said McChurin's Daughter Lacressa.
Lacressa was just a year old when McChurin disappeared.
"My family we have to come to an intersection to say goodbye to her. We can't go to a gravesite. We want a proper burial for her," she said.
On this 21st anniversary of the disappearance, family and friends gathered for a balloon release at the corner where they say Jamie was last seen.
"We want justice. Lacressa has gone all her life without knowing where her mom is. That drives me," said McChurin’s Cousin Morgan.
Each person took a balloon to mark the anniversary and make a new plea for information.
"There's so many questions, and then you stand where she was and you wonder what she was feeling, what she was thinking," said Sister Paula Pippen.
Until Jamie is found the family said their search for answers is far from over.
"We're not giving up. We're never going to forget that she was gone. We're not walking away. We are going to find her even if it takes 30 years we're still going to find her," said Morgan.
