Prosecutors have charged a Tulsa couple with abuse, accused of tasing three children under the age of 9 and pointing a rifle at the face of a mentally disabled woman.
Police said the couple is in the Tulsa County Jail.
Neighbors said they can't believe this happened.
"I see law enforcement come around this neighborhood and have to block the area and they go over their house and knock on the door," recalls Neighbor Virginia Whitehead.
Whitehead said she is shocked to hear police arrested her neighbors Valerie White and her boyfriend Curtis Cochran.
Police said the couple physically and sexually abused 3 children and a mentally disabled woman they knew.
An arrest affidavit said Cochran used a taser on the kids and sexually abused them.
It said he also pointed a rifle at a 24-year-old woman because she wasn't doing the dishes correctly,
Police said Cochran would taze the kids for different punishments and also sold the mentally disabled woman for sex in exchange for meth.
Officers said his girlfriend knew about the abuse but did nothing to stop it.
"We can't change what happened to the kiddo, but we can make them safer, we can put them in a safe environment, we can bring justice to them, and we can make sure it doesn't happen again," said Tulsa Police Corporal Mark Kraft.
Kraft said the kids are now safe but would have been better off if White had stepped up and reported the abuse.
"It would be better to report something that you feel might be going on and have it turn out to not be nothing than to not report behavior and not have anything done to help an abused kid," Kraft said.
Police said the three children have been placed in foster homes, and are receiving counseling and therapy.
