A Broken Arrow man was arrested Monday for first-degree rape after a mother found her 12-year-old daughter missing from her bed one morning and began questioning the girl.
An affidavit of probable cause said the girl told her mother she had had consensual sex with a 23-year-old man named Skylor Norman who lived nearby. Court records state the girl met the man at a restaurant where he worked and began a relationship with him.
The girl was taken for a sexual assault exam, which showed she had had sexual intercourse recently and had bruising, a blood clot, and a laceration, according to the affidavit.
An investigator with BAPD examined the girl's iPad and said he found several messages exchanged between her and Norman, one in which he told her his address.
Police said they talked to Norman, who denied he'd had sex with the girl but told the investigator she had spent the night at his place twice. After continued questioning, police say Norman admitted they had had sex, but said he thought she was 19.
The investigator said after they talked to Norman, he again sent the girl a message that she'd made him fall in love with her, even though she was just 12, and he said he would wait for her as long as he had to in order for them to be together."
Norman has been charged with first-degree rape, victim under 14 years of age. He's in the Tulsa jail on a $100,000 bond.
