13 Tulsa Music Acts To Perform At South By Southwest

More than a dozen Tulsa bands will take the stage at the annual South by Southwest Conference and Festival in Austin.

The Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Arts & Culture announced 13 music groups will perform. It’s the fourth time Tulsa has had a showcase at the festival.

Tulsa native and The Voice contestant, Brian Nhira said it will be great exposure.

"I think it's so important for Tulsa to have the opportunity to showcase what is here in Tulsa. There are so many hidden gems of creativity, of business innovation," Nhira said.

Several area businesses will also make the trip.

The festival starts March 9th and wraps up on the 13th.
