Stanley Majors Sentenced To Life Without Parole For Neighbor's Murder

A Tulsa man is headed to prison for the rest of his life for killing his next door neighbor.

A judge upheld the jury's sentence for Stanley Majors Tuesday.

Majors murdered Khalid Jabara.

The Jabara family said in a statement read in court Tuesday that Majors deserves exactly what the jury recommended, spending the rest of his days, nights, hours and minutes in prison.

The family also said they didn't show up for the hearing because they don't want to give Majors any more satisfaction of listening as they cope with their pain, anguish or grief.

"For someone like him, for someone that has done the acts that he has done, deserved every single day, and every single penny," said Assistant District Attorney Julie Doss, "their standpoint at this point is they want to move on with their lives, and they do not want to give Stanley Majors one ounce of power over them any longer."

Majors' attorneys did not comment after court but News On 6 did hear our first words from Majors throughout this entire process.

The judge asked Majors if he had any questions about his sentence or the appeal process.

He gave only a very quiet, "No."
