Two Tulsa Residents Accused Of Copper Theft Arrested

Police arrest two people accused of stealing copper from a light pole Saturday afternoon behind a Tulsa business.

Police say 34-year-old Joel Smith and 38-year-old Melissa Calen, both of Tulsa, had a backpack full of the stolen copper along with wire cutters, pliers and head lamps.

Court records show Smith was sentenced to a five year suspended sentence three months ago for burglary and having drugs in jail.
