Washington County Deputies Warn Of New Mail Scam

Washington County deputies are warning folks about a scam being sent out in the mail.

The sheriff's office posted on Facebook letters are being mailed out with a check for almost $2,000.

The letter explains that some of the money needs to be used to make wire transfers through Walmart.

Deputies said the checks are fake and it is nothing more than an attempt to rip off people.
