Sand Springs Buys Land Slated For Commercial Development

The City of Sand Springs bought 18 acres of land for a new, unspecified commercial development.

The land is part of the old Sheffield property owned by Omni-Trax.

The rail shipping company is demolishing the former mill to make way for new development but had previously sold part of it to the City for a law enforcement center.

The city plans to develop the new site for shopping.
