Oklahoma Troops Prepare For Overseas Deployment

A group of Oklahoma's Own is preparing to head overseas.

In a few weeks, soldiers from the 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team will leave for Afghanistan.

The group has been training for the mission for weeks.

The soldiers got to spend some time at home for Thanksgiving before leaving for additional training.

Saturday night, family and friends gathered for an emotional sendoff.

Before they headed out, the Blue Star Mothers gave each soldier a deployment bag.
