Vehicle Crashes Through Walgreens In Attempt To Steal ATM

Thieves used a stolen truck to smash through the front of a Walgreens store in an attempt to steal an ATM.

Police said it happened at the Walgreens near 51st and Lewis around 1 am Sunday morning.

They are now questioning several people in relation to that stolen truck.

Police said the suspects used a tow cable to try to steal the ATM just inside the Walgreens but after two tries gave up and ran off.

Several people in another vehicle and someone walking nearby were stopped and questioned.

Two of them were arrested on unrelated charges.
