Here's something you may not know: the Brady Heights neighborhood is on the National Registry of Historic Places.
It was home to many of Tulsa's founders 100 years ago.
The neighborhood is making a comeback and you have an opportunity to see for yourself this weekend.
Brady Heights is the neighborhood along Denver and Cheyenne just north of downtown Tulsa.
"In the beginning this was the first outside of downtown settlement for people wanting to live in homes," said Brian Parker, Brady Heights Historic District president.
Parker said Brady Heights has gone through lots of changes in 100 years.
Now it's going through another one.
"Now it's become kind of a young professional kind of urban feel to it," Parker said.
We can all head to Brady Heights and see for ourselves. There's a home tour Sunday, Oct. 15.
The tour will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and tickets can be purchased on site at Centenary United Methodist Church, 631 N. Denver Ave.
"This year we have 11 houses that are open, we have two churches, and we also have a catering company in the neighborhood," Parker said.
Parker and his wife found their home on the Brady Heights tour six years ago.
They fell in love with its distinctive features like the arch between the living room and dining room, and the pentagonal shaped master bedroom.
And who knows, you may fall in love with Brady Heights yourself during its historic home tour this weekend.
