Severe Thunderstorm Watch In Effect For Green Country

<p>&nbsp;A strong cold front is bringing the possibility of severe weather to northeastern Oklahoma and southwest Kansas Monday evening.</p>

 A strong cold front is bringing some rapidly moving storms to northeastern Oklahoma and southwest Kansas Monday evening. The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for most of Green Country including Tulsa, Mayes, Rogers, Creek, Okmulgee, Delaware, Wagoner, Washington and other counties until 10 p.m.

News On 6 Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer said any thunderstorms that do develop with pop up rapidly. They will carry the threats of strong, gusty winds and hail. There is also a small risk of isolated tornadoes.

The strongest possibility for these storms is north and northeast of Tulsa, he said. Storms are expected to move east and northeast by about 10 p.m.
