The filing period for the special election is October 2nd through October 4th. The special primary, if needed, is set for December 12th and the special general election is scheduled for February 13, 2018.

If a special primary isn’t needed, a news release says the general election will be December 12th.

Senate District 27 covers Beaver, Cimarron, Dewey, Ellis, Harper, Major, Texas, Woods and Woodward counties.

State Senator Bryce Marlatt resigned Tuesday amid allegations of sexual battery against an Uber driver.
