Tulsa police made an arrest they say stemmed from one neighbor asking another to turn down his music. Robert Dean Criswell was arrested after police say he threatened his neighbor with a gun and stick while intoxicated.
The neighbor told police he asked Criswell to turn down his music late Thursday night, September 7. Criswell, 63, charged his neighbor with a large stick, trying to stab him, an arrest report said.
He then told the neighbor he had "something for him," went into his house and came back out with a pistol. Police said Criswell pointed the gun at the victim then fired a shot into the ground saying "that was a warning, the next won't be."
Police said Criswell smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech. They found an open bottle of Jim Beam whiskey and an empty bottle of Jack Daniels next to a chair in Criswell's house.
He was arrested on two complaints of assault with a dangerous weapon, pointing a firearm with intent, reckless handling of a firearm and carrying a firearm while intoxicated.
Police say Criswell told them where to get the pistol which he had hidden in a tree.
