Claremore’s first Chick-fil-a doesn’t open for another 24 hours, but that hasn’t stopped over 35 people from waiting in line.

Those camping out are taking part in a 13-year-old Chick-fil-a tradition promising the chance to win free Chick-Fil-a for an entire year to the first 100 customers.

But free chicken isn’t the only positive outcome of this camp out; those waiting in line will also help package over 10,000 meals for local charities.

New franchise owner Brian Treat believes in giving back, partnering with Feeding Children Everywhere and two local charities to package the meals.

The new restaurant officially opens its doors 6 a.m. Thursday.
