The suspect in an officer-involved shooting in Bristow made a court appearance Friday, August 4. Shawn Sexton is facing 11 charges - five of those shooting with intent to kill.
Police arrested Sexton on July 23rd after a chase in Creek County. Police said it all started when Sexton fired at home in Slick.
Bristow police eventually tracked him down, they say he began shooting at officers out of his car window, hitting one of their patrol cars. Officers chased Sexton until he crashed his car.
One town that had bullets flying the night of the chase wants to stop more violence. A city board member from Slick said their town is fed up with all the criminal activity. He said Sexton is just the straw that broke the camel's back.

"A crime against one of us is a crime against all of us," said Randy Wood, Slick Town Board member.
Wood said there's no place for people like Shawn Sexton in the town of Slick.
"I've known his family my entire life," he said. "There were kids swimming within a few feet of where he was firing the rounds.
Upwards of 50 townspeople gathered Thursday night to come up with a plan to put a stop to the criminals.
"If we could remove three or four households from that community, and they know who they are, we could go back to being one the most peaceful communities in the state," Wood said.
Sexton went to the hospital after he crashed, then to jail. Wood said he hopes Sexton stays there.
"Working with law enforcement, we just need to send a message to you drug users and thieves around Slick, the Town Board member said. "You need to go somewhere else."
The OSBI joined the investigation into the shooting. Sexton said in court he plans on hiring his own attorney.
His next hearing is set for August 25.
