Two people have died in Seminole and Creek County in weather-related crashes.

The fatal collision 2.5 miles southwest of Sasakwa in Seminole County occurred due to a roadway washed out by rain. Matthew Summers, 22, struck an embankment and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The fatal collision on the Turner Turnpike eastbound at the Bristow Gate in Creek County happened when a Mazda driver attempted to pass a Westernstar Tanker Semi in the outside lane before hydroplaning into the center median, striking the median wall.

The semi stopped to avoid striking the Mazda, but the Mazda was hit from behind by a Freightliner.

The driver of the Freightliner was transported to Saint Francis in Tulsa where he was later pronounced dead. All other drivers are in stable condition.
