Folks in Bixby are now enjoying the new additions to Charles Young Event Park in some beautiful weather. City employees along with Bixby's Metro Chamber cut the ribbon Saturday, May 13, to officially reopen the park, near downtown.
After nearly a year of construction, the park now has a performance stage, an interactive fountain and a children's splash pad.
"So we are confident that it's going to help spur development that we've starting to see, but really kick starting off and get some more businesses and retailers here," said Krystal Crockett, Bixby Metro Chamber president.
The celebration also included many food trucks, inflatable bounce house and music.
