High Water On Green Country Lakes Impacts Local Businesses

Recent rains and flooding have affected a number Green Country businesses and recreational areas.

Redbud Marina on Oologah Lake in Rogers County has been in Michael Fawcett's family for 40 years. 

Fawcett says he spent the last week trying to keep his docks from blowing away and with the high winds and water. 

"Our boat sales have pretty much dropped off to nothing because you know why you gonna buy a boat when you cant even get to any of the lakes and put boats in the water, all the boat ramps are closed," said Michael Fawcett.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says if you decide to head out to an area lake this weekend, be patient and safe if you come to an area that has been closed due to high water.
