A City of Tulsa committee reviewing conceptual bridge design for Tulsa's new Arkansas River pedestrian bridge has narrowed it down to two designs after public feedback on the replacement for Tulsa's old pedestrian bridge.
The two final bridge concepts are The Gateway and The Crossing.
The committee had narrowed it down to four possibilities and thousands of people gave the city suggestions on what they liked.
"Its been interesting to hear what people like and don't like, and it covers the whole spectrum," said Paul Zachary, City of Tulsa Engineer. "It's like there is 'we like this part of this one but not that on this one.' It's going to be kind of interesting."

Mayor G.T. Bynum said both bridge finalists will have 30 days to make adjustments to their concepts based on public feedback. The finalists will work with an engineering firm to make sure their designs meet the budget as well, he said.
The final designs will be reviewed by the committee with the "winner" announced in June.
