Tulsa police are investigating a possible road rage incident that escalated to a shooting near 43rd Street and MLK. The woman who was shot had a baby in the car. According to police, the victim was shot in the leg and transported to a hospital.
News On 6's Katiera Winfrey was at the scene near 43rd, but police say there appear to be three different scenes.
Police said the suspected shooter, 20-year-old Harmoni Colleen Alexander, was arrested a few blocks away. She was booked on three counts of shooting with intent to kill, three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, possession of a stolen vehicle, and some traffic complaints.
According to police, she and the victim know each other.
Police said Alexander rammed the vehicle the victim was in before knocking off the victim's door or doors with her vehicle. Investigators said once the car was stopped, the woman who caused the crash got out and started shooting.
"We're thinking it's road rage," said Corporal C.J. Jackson. "They knew each other so we're not sure. This car apparently didn't flip, but it spun around in a vicious manner, and you could see inside the car.
The victim was transporting a baby and one passenger. The baby is OK but was taken to the hospital to be checked out as a precaution.
