Tulsa Public Schools Board To Vote On Next Year's Schedule

Tulsa Public Schools has developed the school calendar for 2017-2018. 

It is up for final approval at the board meeting Monday night.

The 2017 calendar has classes beginning August 21 and ending as soon as May 23. The calendar has five "built-in" snow days, but if no classes are canceled for weather, school would end on May 16th.  

The high schools scheduled commencement for the week of May 15.

The winter break will begin on Thursday before Christmas, which is on a Monday in 2017, and classes resume the Wednesday after New Year's.

Spring Break will be March 19-23rd, though students will be out of school the Thursday and Friday before.  Teachers have a training day Thursday that week and parent-teacher conferences are Friday, March 16, although most schools plan them earlier in the week to avoid conflicts with the break.
