This year’s theme was "Christmas Cheer of Yesteryear."
The floats in this year's parade were decade themed and appearing chronologically, starting with the 1920's.
Tulsa celebrated nine decades of parades this year since the Christmas parade began in 1926. But some cool new things were showcased.
In fact, there were several new three to four story tall balloons this year, one of which News On 6 reporter Marty Kasper was told is the tallest in the parade's history.
People lined the streets early to get a good spot, and it's estimated there were tens of thousands of people who attended.
"I love it,” said attendee Shantell Brown. “We've been all our lives, so we wanted to give him the experience."
Attendee Jeff Fulbright took his grandson.
"It’s his second time out here,” said Fulbright. “We brought him out here the year before last and it's going to be really nice to have him out here again where he is old enough to remember it."
This year's parade is benefiting Soldier's Wish, a charity that supports our veterans and their families.
