Governor Fallin Tweets Photos From Trip To Middle East

Governor Mary Fallin is visiting members of Oklahoma's National Guard serving in the Middle East.

Fallin spokesman Michael McNutt says the governor left Monday afternoon from Washington, D.C. on a trip being coordinated by the U.S. Department of Defense.

In a statement from the Pentagon, Fallin says men and women in uniform impress and inspire her.

Governor Fallin tweeted some photos Wednesday.

Oklahoma National Guard's Alpha Company 777th Aviation Support Battalion left for the Middle East in June.

The governor's office says the Department of Defense is providing the transportation and lodging for Fallin. She was joined by Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin and Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval, who are visiting members of their states' National Guard on the trip.
