Sapulpa Man Stabbed To Death; Jenks Man In Custody

Miami Police said a Sapulpa man was stabbed to death late Monday night. Authorities were called to the 2800 block of P Street NW and interrupted a fight between two men, according to a news release.

"Both men were covered in blood, and one man had multiple stab wounds," the release states.

That man, 35-year-old John Woods of Sapulpa, was taken to the hospital where he died of his wounds. Police arrested Andrew Jones, a 41-year-old Jenks resident.

Miami Police said detectives are investigating, and Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has been called in to assist.
