Woman Punches Abductor, Escapes, Tulsa Police Say

A woman told Tulsa police she escaped from a man who abducted her early Sunday morning, November 27, 2016, near 11th and Garnett Road. Police said the man was driving a gray Nissan Pathfinder with a blue neon light around the license plate.

Records show officers were sent to the 1600 block of South 101st East Avenue around 3:13 a.m. They met with the woman who said she was walking near 11th and Garnett a short time earlier when a Hispanic man in his late 20s pulled up and asked her to perform a sex act for money.

She refused and walked away, but the man followed her until she eventually tried to run and fell down, according to police.

The man then forced her into the Pathfinder and drove to a retention pond near 2000 South 101st East Avenue. The woman was eventually able to escape after punching the man in the face while he was undressing, police said. 

The suspect was last seen going north on 101st East Avenue.
