Holiday cheer came in the form of a big, red bus Tuesday night. A ministry group called Get Out of the Bus spread joy throughout Tulsa on a double-decker bus.
The day started by handing out turkeys and prayers and ended at the transit station where they handed out pizza to the homeless.
Tuesday night's mission was painted on the side of their double-decker - Get Out of the Bus and out into the community.
"Tonight, we're going to be giving away a lot of turkeys; a lot of turkeys, about 1,000 pounds’ worth of turkey," said Pastor Jon Clouse.
The ministry group parked at Warehouse Market at 3rd and Lewis and started handing out free pizza and Thanksgiving turkeys, catching people like Chris Foy by surprise.
"I was not expecting none of it,” Foy said. “The bus, when I seen the bus I thought, it caught my attention. The turkey, it was a blessing. That's awesome."
Crystal Barnes wasn't planning to cook anything this holiday, but now, those plans have changed.
"Especially with my family and the situation that's been going on financially, it'll definitely be a help," she said.
Get Out of the Bus is nearly a year old now.

Clouse said the traditional idea of church - a fancy building, the formality - isn't for everyone; but, a double-decker with free food, who could turn that down?
"It's incredible, incredible. Basically just meeting people right where they're at in life. Giving them a Christmas gift, which means so much to them, means so much more to us," Clouse said.
Foy said, "It's awesome, God bless 'em, they're good people."
Get Out of the Bus typically meets on Thursday nights. You can find more information here.
