Police: Man Arrested After Stabbing Girlfriend At Tulsa Motel

Police arrested a man for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend with a small folding knife at Tulsa motel room Friday evening.

Police said the incident happened at the Knights Inn in the 1000 block of South Garnett just after 7:15 p.m.  

Witnesses said the suspect had been fighting with the victim and was slashing her car's tires when she tried to stop him and he stabbed her with the knife in the back.

Officers said the victim was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening wound.

Police said the man initially ran away, but returned when officers arrived.  He was arrested and taken to the Tulsa County jail.
