Tulsa Man Shot During Robbery Attempt

Police say a man was shot during a robbery attempt at a Tulsa apartment complex Tuesday afternoon.  

Officers were called to the Barcelona Apartments in the 5100 block of South Vandalia just after noon.  

The victim told officers he was getting out of his car when a man came up to him and demanded his wallet. When he refused to give it to the man, the man shot him, hitting him in the leg.

The shooter then got into a red Ford F-150 pickup and left, he told police. Officers say the same pickup was involved in a disturbance in west Tulsa earlier Tuesday.

Police say the victim's wound is considered non-life threatening.
