A tense five hours in Tulsa Sunday morning after a man shot at police and fired into neighboring apartments.
It all began early Sunday morning when officers responded to shots being fired at Stonecrest Apartments, said TPD Sgt. Richard Meulenberg.
Five hours later, officers launched several canisters of chemicals similar to tear gas into an apartment before Jack Lee White came out and police arrested him.

Meulenberg said police tried negotiating with White to get him outside, and that's when he fired at officers but didn't hit anyone.
"...He kept yelling for help, but then he refused to come out. He, from what i understand, did not believe the police were actually outside," Meulenberg said.
The shots woke up Kimberly Baker and her family.
"All of a sudden we heard boom boom boom!" Baker said.
Holes were left behind in the wall after bullets flew through the closet, just feet away from where the Baker family was sleeping.
"I was nervous, I was scared, I was worried about my son getting hit," she said.
Meulenberg said the roughly 40 officers and members of the SWAT team had a goal to use as little force as possible.
"We did everything we can to make sure we brought him out safely. We didn't shoot at him, even though he shot at us. It ended very well for everybody involved," Meulenberg said.
Police arrested White for assault with a deadly weapon, destroying evidence and several other complaints.
