In addition to the parades, ceremonies and many other ways that veterans are honored on Veterans Day, vets and active-duty military can also enjoy a free meal, appetizers and drinks from a variety of restaurants.
From free desserts to free hot wings, this list of Tulsa-area restaurants have got veterans covered on Veterans Day.
Veterans can stop in somewhere for breakfast before Tulsa's 97th Annual Veterans Day Parade, or afterward for lunch or dinner.

Some restaurants do require Proof of Military Service, and proof varies, according to the militarywallet.com.
Most companies require some form of military ID. These include: a Military ID Card (active/reserve/retired), VA ID card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), Drivers License with Veterans Designation, Photograph in uniform, wearing your uniform (if your service permits), Veterans Organization Card (e.g., American Legion and VFW), DD214, discharge paperwork, or other form of identification. Other restaurants and companies may go by the honor system.

Chipotle: From 3 p.m. to close, all U.S. military, military spouses and veterans get a buy one get one free burrito, bowl, salad or tacos.
Chili's: Free meal from a special menu.
Cracker Barrel: Free slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake.
Chuck E. Cheese: Active and retired military members can enjoy a free individual 1-topping pizza with offer code 5258.
Denny's: From 5 a.m. to noon, active, inactive and retired military personnel get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam. The breakfast includes a choice of four items, such as buttermilk pancakes, eggs, turkey bacon, sausage links, and English muffins.
Einstein Bros. Bagels: Current and former service members in the Shmear Society e-club can receive a coupon for a free bagel and shmear with purchase.
Golden Corral: Monday, November 14 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Veterans get a free beverage and buffet meal.
Hooters: This Veterans Day, diners with proof of service can choose a free entree from an exclusive Veteran’s Day menu. The menu includes wings, burgers, sandwiches, and other Hooters favorites.
IHOP: Free red, white and blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Krispy Kreme: Free Doughnut & Coffee On Veterans Day 2016, a free doughnut and small coffee will be given to anyone who identifies themselves as a veteran or active military personnel (no ID required).
Little Caesars: Free Hot-N-Ready lunch combo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Logan’s Roadhouse: Nov. 11, 2016. Free entrée from select menu for veterans and active duty military personnel. Call your local Logan’s Roadhouse for details and to verify participation
Longhorn Steakhouse: Guests with proof of service can score a free steakhouse appetizer or dessert, plus 10% off for fellow diners.
The Melting Pot: All military service members and their guests can take 20% off their bill.
Olive Garden: Veterans and active duty service members get a free entree.
On The Border: Veterans and current service members will receive a free choose 2 or choose 3 “Create Your Own Combo”. Dine-in only, proof of service required.
Outback Steakhouse: Free Bloomin' Onion and a beverage. Outback also is offering active and former service members 15% off their meals and their families' Nov. 12 through Dec. 31.
Red Lobster: Veterans and active duty military can visit to get a free appetizer or dessert on November 10 and 11.
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews: All veterans and active duty military get a free Red’s Tavern Double Burger and bottomless steak fries at participating restaurants nationwide. Red Robin is also donating $10,000 to United Service Organizations.
RibCrib: In honor of Veterans Day, vets and active military members can get a free Menu of Honor barbecue meal. The meal includes a choice of two meats and two sides.
Ruby Tuesday: Free appetizer up to $10.
Spaghetti Warehouse: Guests can print a buy one, get one free lasagna or spaghetti and meatballs coupon to be used on Veterans Day. Diners are encouraged to invite a veteran to lunch or dinner.
Texas Roadhouse: Veterans and active duty members can dig into a free lunch on the holiday.

Twin Peaks: In honor of the holiday, diners with valid military I.D. can choose free food item from the Annual Veterans Day Appreciation Menu.
Village Inn: All day long, veterans with military ID or proof of military service receive a free INN-Credible V.I.B. breakfast.
